Ingredients
Apple Filling
Topping
  • 1/2cup oatmealold fashioned, if gluten free, use certified gluten free old fashioned oats
  • 1/2Cup all purpose flourif gluten free, use gluten free all purpose flour mix
  • 1/4cup brown sugar
  • 1tsp cinnamon
  • 5tbsp butterunsalted, may substitute dairy free substitute
  • 1/2cup walnutschopped, optional
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Peel and core apples. Slice into equal size pieces.
  2. In a large bowl combine all the apple filling ingredients. Mixing well until the apples are well coated.
  3. Spray an 8×8 pan with cooking spray. Pour apple filling into the pan.
  4. Combine all the topping ingredients in a bowl. With your hands or a pastry cutter, mix until well combined.
  5. Cover apples with topping and bake in a 325 degree oven for 45-50 minutes or until the top is crunchy and the filling is bubbly.
  6. Serve with ice cream or frozen yogurt.
Recipe Notes

Refrigerate any leftovers in an airtight container.
