- Clean and gently dry strawberries with a paper towel. It is important to dry the strawberries so that the chocolate sticks well.
- In a microwave bowl, place 2 ounces of your desired chocolate. Melt the chocolate 30 seconds at a time, stirring in between until the chocolate is completely melted. Add 1/4 teaspoon of the oil to the chocolate and stir well to combine. Add chocolate and oil to bowl as needed.
- Holding onto the leaves, dip the strawberries, 3/4 of the way into the melted chocolate. Rotate the strawberry so that all sides are covered, gently shaking any excess chocolate back into the bowl.
- If sprinkles or sanding sugar are desired, dip chocolate covered strawberry into the sprinkles or sugar before the chocolate sets.
- Place strawberry on a piece of wax paper until the chocolate sets.
- To apply a different chocolate, allow first layer to set. Melt the second chocolate and add oil, mixing well. With a spoon or fork, drizzle the chocolate over the strawberry. Allow chocolate to set
- Refrigerate completed strawberries in an airtight container.
