Before I had children, I firmly believed that my children were not going to be picky eaters. They would try as many different types of food as possible and learn to enjoy lots of different tasted and textures. And then, I had children so my grand plan was scattered to the wind. I did learn that they would try more things if they were presented in different and fun ways. When presented with a bowl of suspect fruit, there was a high probability that they would refuse it. But offer fruit kabobs with dip, and I was the best mom ever.
I have never met a child who didn’t love fruit kabobs. Bright and colorful, with different textures, this finger food has happy children written all over it.
Be warned, kids of all ages, loved to wave their fruit kabobs around like swords and then stab their kabobs into the fruit dip, accompanied by all the appropriate sound effects.
Need something to take to a party that is no bake, quick and beautiful? These are a perfect summer dessert. For our family parties, I like to make a lot of kabobs with a triple batch of dip. It makes me feel better when I know that my kids will grab fruit before some of the other less healthy choices on the table.
Pair your favorite fruits with this delicious dip and you are guaranteed to be the hit of the party!
